Kelp otherwise known as Kombu are brown-green seaweed whose natural habitat includes the northern waters of the Atlantic Ocean and the calm ocean along the coast of Japan. These seaweeds are characterized by a unique iodine content. 100mg of kelp contains about 150-200 micrograms of iodine, which fully covers the daily demand for this component.
