Hina Kokeshi Dolls inspired by Date Masamune and Megohime. Because of its small size, it is wonderful not only for the Hina doll season but also for decorating in the living room or at the entrance all year round.
Date Masamune was known as Dokuganryu, "The One-Eyed Dragon of the North". Masamune was an outstanding tactician, a brilliant leader, a fearless warrior, and the lord of Sendai. He was respected among the samurai as a loyal, ethical but utterly ruthless, most capable administrator, and an aggressive and ambitious daimyo.
Megohime was a Japanese noblewoman and aristocrat from the Azuchi-Momoyama period to the early Edo period. She is the daughter and only child of Tamura Kiyoaki, the lord of Miharu Castle. She was also married to Date Masamune.
